Fall Color in December Engagement Session | Ashley & Chase

I can’t believe we found fall color in December!! It was perfect. I met Ashley and Chase at the Knoxville Botanical Gardens and we found some remaining fall color and it worked perfectly with her deep navy dress. I am so excited for their August 2021 wedding where I will get to work with the always amazing wedding coordinator, Janna Fowler of All About Weddings. I can’t wait to work with the newly renovated Julianna Venue for their wedding reception.

Ashley and Chase met in high school and developed a strong friendship that eventually led to an official relationship blooming just before high school graduation. They ended up attending college together in the fall and the rest you could say is HISTORY. They are now about to embark on the next chapter of their life as newlyweds and I am so thrilled to be a part of capturing their journey.

I love meeting my clients for engagement sessions before the wedding day. It gives us all an opportunity to get to know each other better and to also get in a little prep work before the big day. The love and joy that Ashley and Chase have for one another was so clear. I just love how she looks over and giggles at him all the time. Chase was so sweet to go and get Ashley another pair shoes out of the car, when the ones she was wearing proved a little hard to walk in. They were just so caring with each other. She just kept telling Chase how handsome he looked! Their wedding day is going to be so, so fun and full of love!

As I mentioned, we lucked into fall color in December which was so lucky. Another perk of shooting their engagement session in December, was that we were able to take advantage of the beautifully lit backdrop of downtown Knoxville. I think it was a perfect ending to their day. One of their favorite past times is enjoying Christmas movies together, it was like they were in their own Christmas movie for a few minutes.
