Earlier this week I had the sweetest time photographing Maddie and Spencer’s engagement session at Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee. This location is especially meaningful to them since they both attended college here, making it the perfect backdrop for their photos.

These two are such a laid-back and joyful couple. Maddie had her wedding hair trial before our session, and it was absolutely flawless—such a great preview of how stunning she’ll look on her wedding day! Spencer, on the other hand, had clearly been doing his homework. He showed up ready for all the signature engagement session poses—dip kisses, spins, twirls, and of course, the classic nuzzle (which he completely nailed!).

What I loved most about their engagement session was how much fun they had together. They laughed through every prompt and leaned into the experience, which made capturing their love story so natural and effortless. Sessions like this are a reminder of why I love what I do—helping couples feel comfortable, connected, and celebrated in this exciting season of life.

I can’t wait to photograph Maddie and Spencer’s upcoming October wedding at The Views at Sunset Ridge. The fall colors will be in full swing, and I know their day will be as warm, beautiful, and joy-filled as they are.
