There are wedding days that feel like pure magic from beginning to end, and Bo and Lisa’s September celebration at the McLemore Resort in Georgia was exactly that. Nestled atop Lookout Mountain, McLemore was the perfect setting for a wedding day filled with elegance, personal touches, and endless laughter.
For Bo and Lisa, McLemore Resort wasn’t just a beautiful venue — it was home to some of their sweetest memories. The couple spends much of their time here and even got engaged at the resort, making it the perfect place to begin their marriage surrounded by friends and family.
Lisa’s attention to detail shone through in every aspect of the day. She wore a bespoke Mae New York wedding gown, paired with elegant Manolo Blahnik bridal shoes that added the perfect touch of sophistication. Perhaps the most meaningful detail was her custom-designed wedding ring — a piece she created herself through her own company, SisterSister Jewelry, which she founded in honor of her sister.
The florals were timeless and romantic, with soft neutrals and greenery that tied beautifully into the early autumn landscape of Lookout Mountain.
Even amidst challenges, this wedding day radiated joy. Just days before the celebration, Bo’s mother suffered a fall that left her wheelchair-bound. But nothing could keep her from celebrating. In one of the most touching moments of the evening, Lisa and Bo brought her onto the dance floor for a special dedication bouquet and a lively dance to her favorite song, The Devil Went Down to Georgia. It was a reminder that love and joy always find a way.
The reception was an unforgettable party, with Velvet City Sound keeping the dance floor alive all night long. Guests sipped on passed White Russian cocktails during cake cutting and enjoyed late-night hush puppies, a nod to southern comfort and fun.
And of course, no mention of this wedding would be complete without introducing the most important guest: Indiana Bones, the couple’s beloved Bernese Mountain Dog, who proudly served as the ring bearer. She may have stolen the show, but she only added to the warmth and personality of the day.
From the golden September light over the McLemore cliffs to the heartfelt moments shared between family and friends, Bo and Lisa’s wedding was everything a celebration should be — meaningful, elegant, and overflowing with laughter.
For couples dreaming of a McLemore Resort wedding or planning a fall wedding in Georgia, Bo and Lisa’s day is proof that the most beautiful weddings are the ones filled with love, personal touches, and the joy of being surrounded by the people (and pups!) who matter most.
