Hannah and Alec’s wedding at Bjorvala Farms was a perfect day in late May.  I love Spring and early Summer weddings, everything is in bloom and glowing with love and life. Perfect to start the next chapter of life together as a couple.  Hannah and Alec were surrounded by family and friends as they say I DO and became Mr. and Mrs. Alec Howard.

There were so many sweet touches and details spread throughout the day.  The necklace the bride is wearing was specially selected by her late grandmother to be given to Hannah on her wedding day.  Many of the reception decorations were from a family friends personal collection.  Hannah’s mom had pulled out an old box containing heirlooms from her family and had brought family handkerchiefs for Hannah and all of her family to use during the day.  Last but not least, the gentlemen enjoyed their frosty beverages of choice in custom engraved beer mugs.

I absolutely loved Hannah’s bouquet with the sweet touches of Peony (one of my personal favorites) and the soft lambs ear and pale blue hydrangeas it was perfection. They made a perfect choice in Navy suits for the guys, not only did they look fabulous with the soft blush bridesmaid’s dresses but it is also a very practical piece that the gentlemen will be able to wear time and again.  Who doesn’t love a classic navy suit and the addition of the vest made it top notch!

I especially loved the unity tree ceremony.  Future brides take note… this was such a great way to have the symbolic joining of families and bonus!!!! You get to take home a lovely tree to plant at your very own home and have the opportunity to watch it grow just as your love for one another grows over the years.  It will be so special to check in on this tree at their milestone anniversaries.  Just think how amazing this tree will be on their 5, 10, 20, even 50 year wedding anniversaries!  A true opportunity to watch love grow before your very eyes.
